Myke Towers earns his second No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart as “La Capi” jumps 2-1 to lead the May 18-dated list. It’s the second ruler on the radio ranking for Towers, who first crowned the list through “Travesuras” in 2021. While the Puerto Rican picks up his second No. 1 with his second entry, he’s notched 30 titles on the Latin Rhythm Airplay ranking, including 11 No. 1s.
“La Capi,” released Nov. 23, is one of 23 songs on Towers’ LVEU: Vive La Tuya…No La Mía album, which debuted at No. 9 on Top Latin Albums (December 2023). The song launched at No. 7 on Tropical Airplay in March and completes a steady climb to the summit in its eighth week, with 9.17 million audience impressions, up 49% on U.S. reporting radio stations during the May 3-9 tracking week, according to Luminate.

With “La Capi” ascending to the summit on Tropical Airplay, Towers joins six other artists outside the genre who have secured a No. 1 through a collab or as soloists in the last year.
Here’s the recap of those winners dating back to May 6, 2023:
Title, Artist, Date reached No. 1
“El Merengue,” Marshmello & Manuel Turizo, Aug. 5, 2023
“Bailando Bachata,” Chayanne, April 8, 2023
“Así Es La Vida,” Enrique Iglesias & Maria Becerra, Dec. 9, 2023
“Cosas de La Peda,” Gabito Ballesteros (with Prince Royce), Feb. 24
“La Capi,” Myke Towers, May 18
“La Capi” also rallies 11-3 on the overall Latin Airplay chart, and gifts Towers his 13th top 10.
Beyond its radio popularity, “La Capi” debuts at No. 45 on Hot Latin Songs, the airplay-, digital- and streaming-combined chart, despite a 2% decline in streaming activity, which translates to 145,000 official U.S. streams logged during the same period. The song joins two other Tower tracks on the multi-metric tally, “Adivino,” with Bad Bunny, which drops 2-4, and “La Falda” dips 15-19.

Fans ‘Will Never Forget’ Controversial Rapper.” It continues, “His complex and tortured existence has come to a close, and the legacy he leaves behind is no closer to resolution than the manner in which this character departed this world. May he truly find the peace in an afterlife that he could not find on Earth.” What? Blue Note Entertainment Group and Black Radio Productions have unveiled the lineup for their newly announced Napa Valley event, Blue Note Jazz Festival Presents: The Black Radio Experience, hosted by Sway Calloway, Aug 30 to Sept 1.
Inspired by the event’s Artist in Residence — Grammy-winning pianist, artist, producer and jazz great Robert Glasper — The Black Radio Experience “is an immersive journey into the soul of music, transcending boundaries and celebrating the rich tapestry of Black culture,” a press release announcing its launch explains.
“Every year our festival in Napa brings a unique vibe, and this year we are bringing you the Black Radio Experience during Labor Day weekend with a dope list of artists for an exclusive hang,” Glasper said in a statement.
Unlike new festival properties that have sprung up recent years like Friends in Lovers festival in Las Vegas and Lionel Richie and Diana Ross’s inaugural Fool In Love Festival in Los Angeles – which feature more than 100 artists spread out over a huge festival ground — The Black Radio Experience is a smaller, intimate experience snuggled in to the The Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa. Headliners include John Legend, Jill Scott and André 3000, and performances by Andra Day, Common, Nile Rodgers, Ledisi and more.
“This year’s event promises an even more boutique, intimate, and exclusive vibe than ever before, presenting an unparalleled caliber of iconic artists,” said Alex Kurland, director of programming of Blue Note. “Robert Glasper’s vision and inspiration shape the talent and tone of the entire experience,” stated Kurland.
The inaugural festival took place on June 1, 2011, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. In 2022, a Napa Valley Blue Note Jazz Festival was launched at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena.
The next Black Radio Experience event will feature three full days performances across two stages and a wine cave venue with music icons against the backdrop of Napa Valley. The event will include Chef Darryl Bell’s ‘In the Vineyard’ Stateline Road Smokehouse, where he combines his Kansas City roots with Michelin training and access to Napa Valley’s newest premier steakhouse, Ember Steak, for all three days of the event and with more exclusive food experiences to come.
Hotel packages run from $2,250 per person to $3,400 per person, with three-day GA passes starting at $499 going on sale Thursday, May 16, 2024. Visit the website here for more information.

More murders in the building are are around the corner. Hulu’s popular series, Only Murders in the Building, will return for season four on August 27.
In the upcoming season, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) find themselves dealing with the aftermath of the shocking events surrounding Charles’ stunt double and friend Sazz Pataki at the end of season three. “Questioning whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, our trio’s investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about the Only Murders podcast,” the description of season four reads. “As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey — traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.”
According to Variety, Only Murders is Hulu’s most-watched original comedy series to date, with the third season putting up the most-watched premiere day of any Hulu scripted original so far this year. Earlier this year, at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, Only Murders had been in the running for best comedy series, which ended up going to FX’s The Bear, and Short had been nominated for best actor in a comedy series, but Jeremy Allen White took the prize.
Before the premiere date, you can catch up on all three seasons of Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. Hulu starts at $7.99 per month, or $79.99 per year for the ad-supported plan, while you can go without ads for $17.99 per month.

From Lima Music Festival in Peru to the eclectic stages of Bilbao BBK Live in Spain and Festival Cordillera in Colombia, Billboard Español puts together the ultimate guide to festivals celebrating Latin music across the globe.
With reggaetón pop sensation Rauw Alejandro and corridos hitmaker Peso Pluma taking center stage at Governors Ball in New York, Sueños in Chicago and Baja Beach Fest in Mexico — the latter two festivals placing substantial bets on these genres — it’s clear that Latin music’s influence continues to expand rapidly.
We also see more eclectic lineups that combine Latin and Anglo headliners such as Primavera Sounds in Spain with main acts Lana Del Rey, Pulp, SZA, Mitski, and more are slated to perform; but also Venezuelan electronic producer Arca, Mexican-American crooner Omar Apollo, Argentine rapper Milo J, reggaetón pioneer DJ Playero, indie rockers Él Mató a Un Policía Motorizado, and Spanish trap star La Zowi.
Even in places historically less associated with Latin music — but not as much as one might think — such as in Italy with Milano Latin Festival who will host an over two-month-long music series starring Farruko, Christian Nodal, Maria Becerra, Juan Luis Guerra, Grupo Niche, Pimpinela, Olga Tañón and more.
While this may not be an exhaustive list, it serves as a comprehensive guide to some of the genre’s most significant events. Whether you’re a die-hard reggaetón fan, a salsa aficionado, or a lover of all things Latin, see our guide to the must-attend festivals across the globe, arranged in sequential order.
